I've owned popup campers, travel trailers, a Class C and a Class A but this will be an entirely new experience.

I purchased a used custom-built teardrop last week from the original owner. The custom part is the diamond plate aluminum cabinet and under floor storage that was designed and added by the trailer builder. Even though it is almost 20 years old, it is in very good condition with some well thought out accessories.

In addition to the aforementioned storage, it is equipped with portable solar panels, a solar controller, an inverter and a battery bank. I'm tempted to remove the batteries and replacing them with a portable power center. Even so, regardless of what I decide to do, I have to decipher the rat's nest of wiring and figure out how it all works. I've never owned this sort of setup so hopefully I get it sorted before my first shakedown run.

Definitely need a lift kit. Mine was a 2" lift (after needing a new axle and getting a heavier duty one) and going from 13" wheels to 15". I want to add AT tires but would have to remove and replace the fenders due to needing wider wheels and tires. It still gives me the diameter for ruts and bumps and 15" clearance under the axle.

The upgraded suspension I have now is meant for a much heavier trailer. However, I will more likely upgrade to a different trailer first. I am Thinking about getting something that is in the 16' and self contained then upgrade things on it for off road beyond what the factory off road package would be. As I get older (78) I am liking more creature comforts.
