Hello All! Newbie here (Joe) and just purchased my first Gladiator. Brought a used 2021 Rubicon, with 30k miles. I have been looking now for a few months and specifically wanted the manual transmission because 25 years ago I had a manual transmission Mazda pickup and never forgot how fun it was to drive. I also wanted white because the I feel that the white brings out the lines more on the truck.

The Gladiator is just a badass truck and a blast to drive. The manual transmission is certainly not for everyone but since I live in a rural area, its the perfect truck for these roads. Hoping to learn from everyone here.

Nothing wrong with a manual. My JKU Rubicon was a manual. The 8 speed has a lot higher tow rating and better performance and I use mine as a truck. I bought mine new and I looked at the manuals and tried to convince myself that it would work, but I’m glad I didn’t buy it because I’ve towed past the manual tow limit quite a bit

That’s the one I was looking for, but didn’t find. Now, you have it. Enjoy!

Not to get off track but those Mazda trucks you mentioned were great. Roomy cab for a small truck, low bed height so easy to get heavy stuff in and out of it and a whopping 78 HP from the factory.

We inherited my wife’s dad’s truck. I sold it to a landscaper after I wore it out.

I beat the unholy crap out of this truck when I was a kid, before my first XJ. Couldn't kill it, and I tried. Hard.

Also, welcome. (Manual JT is best JT!)

Says you give me 1 week with a B2000 I I would have it trashed in this state. We aint know for our roads.
Manual JT the best sounds like a Biased opinion. Want to hear the list of things my Auto does that your Manual dont .. lol oh well who cares right.

I had a Mazda B2000, manual transmission about 33 years ago. Loved it and had great memories. Had a cap on the back and it served as my crash bed after long nights at the shore.
