Wondering, like European City Lights?
So Pre-Runners in the grill are like clearance lights on the roof?https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/CFR-1996-title49-vol4/pdf/CFR-1996-title49-vol4-sec393-11.pdf
It's law. Gladiator's aren't 80" wide so they don't need them. People put them there for looks. No functional purpose if not required by law.
Hence my "City Light" comparo .....the 80" width is for the cab lights. In the link sent above it specifically states for the lights not allowed to extend below the top of the windshield.
pre-runner lights are not the same as cab lights.
no one knows what the F pre runner lights are for, same as skinny jeans
In turn, I've heard the width thing before, and wondered how three lil lights in the grill communicated width. Especially to folks like me, who didn't know, and worse, slow on the uptake.Hmmm... good point. Yes, that would be nice. I would think the drivers ability to see obstacles would supercede a spotters need to see at all.
You've made my day Sir!United States Code: Section 1941
"Upon being seen, glanced, noticed, or thought about, Pre-Runner Lights will induce an increased presence of natural lubricants, and simultaneously, a sudden downward motion of undergarments in attractive and desirable females between the ages of 18 and 60. Unresponsive subjects should be more closely scrutinized in order to determine which aforementioned condition was not met."
Hence my "City Light" comparo .....
In some European cities, motorcycle headlights are to be shut off, and all that is permitted are small running lights, as to not blind people. As in people crossing roadways. The small running light above the headlight.
I was wondering, if Pre-Runners were used on trails at night to assist guides, guiding drivers, through technical challenges, and not blinded by headlights.
