Yes, they should take back the other one and give you the Rubicon for the original deal you made.
I don't think they will do that, but I am going to try. They literally just took off the factory incentives off the gladiators on their website. The dealer incentives are still there, just not the factory, which was another 9,000 grand off. Wow.

In my opinion, they should toss in some candy like extended warranty or something like that. I mean, they really messed up - and that word fraud keeps popping into my head. They can easily toss in some accessories, slush mats, whatever, because those are really cheap for them and it's the least they can do for, gee, there's that word - lying on paper, in writing.
I completely agree with you, fraud is the only word that fits. I'm of the opinion they should upgrade her to the tow ready Rubicon with extended warranty for what she has in the Sport. If she wanted to press the issue I'd bet they would go further and there are the accessories, but I'd be happy with the upgrade and extended warranty.

I really think they would but you might have to get a lawyer involved. What they almost got away with was so wrong. I get mad every time I think about it.

I get mad too... and with this latest website thing - before finding out it was a glitch I almost lost my cool.

it's really too bad that most of your time and energy here has been trying to sort this out.
Maybe when all is said and done and things wrapped up to your satisfaction (not theirs) you can relax and enjoy - more pics of Jeep with trailer, horse, you, the scenery and so on.

No reason you shouldn’t be mad but you seem to be staying level headed about it and that is also important.

Considering what they did, no one would blame you for pushing hard for everything you can get but I wouldn’t be demanding about it. They have agreed to reverse your original deal, so you are in a great position. They know they were wrong and should be willing to give in but only up to a point. Working with them but being nice about it is the way I’d go. You can always fall back on the legal route if all else fails and I assume they know that.

Wonder what the dealership will do with her current Gladiator? Probably sell it as a Sport with an added hitch.

A few have already mentioned going the lawyer route, I hate how things seem to often end up that way, but you might need to get one involved. I don’t know how close in price the Rubicon is to the Sport you bought, but if it was me at this point I would tell them: This can be rectified satisfactorily by taking back this Jeep and getting me out the door in the Rubicon with no further cost to me. If you are not willing to make this right to my satisfaction by doing this, the next conversation you will have to fix this issue will be with my lawyer. Like Shadowspapa has mentioned, California does have good (dare I say great even) consumer protections, for all the states flaws they do seem to have that right.

I rode my horse to get a reset last night, then got a good night's sleep for the first time since this all started. Keep your fingers crossed for me today!

I just don't know if I have it in me to demand. I can give looks - really good "what????" looks. But I think I will fumble if I go that route, but we shall see once I get there. thank you for your succinct words!

And a lift. I really like this jeep, it makes me sad.

This is my goal, I really don't want to mention the "L" word... especially on Valentines Day! ?

Ask your ladies to do something nice for you all today! You deserve it!

Then do something nice for them too ? I know you will!

A Rubicon will sit higher than a Sport. Not sure how much lift you added, but they might be about even?

Good luck today… wish you the best ?
