Yawn, its them confirming what we already knew after months of conjecture.

Wake me up when the Hurricane I6 shows up in the JT lineup. Wondering if it will be MY 2023 or 2024.
I’ll only believe it when I see it on the lot...I bet FCA shuts down the JT Hurricane, too.

So glad we got rid of those CFLs years ago and switched to LEDs. Even less power, longer life, and no hazmat needed.
We never went to CFLs… I saw way too many fires started by those evil contraptions!

While we were still in S. Fl, we found out that another plus to LED over Incandescent lights, was that they greatly lightened the AC load, further lowering the electric bill.

Ya I have had LED in my house for years, trying to save what's in my wallet...

CFL were a huge screw up, but then that crew rarely thinks things through

The plant manager at the power plant though he was doing something great by switching all the rough service light bulbs to CFL's. You thought that upper management was going to pin a metal on his chest. After taking 2 months to switch all the light bulbs out. We started to get fires with the CFL light bulbs. Found out that the CFL light bulb can not stand vibrations from the equipment. So we spent another 2 months changing the light bulbs back to the regular rough service light bulbs. So much for the spot bonus for the plant manager.

If the electric crowd wasn't so annoying i might be able to hear them out. They remind me of a certain group of people that shall remain nameless.
It is like Crossfitters, Vegans and Nickleback fans, they deserve to be despised and made social pariahs.

If it works the same as the Wrangler 4xe, the Rubicon gets close to 40mpg, and will perform the same on all the trails... we have a few in our local club.
It's really that high? I had no idea.

Heh, so you'll sacrifice the entire rear underseat storage for maybe 15 miles of electric range, and get worse fuel MPG because of all the battery weight?

Unless they massively improve battery life, I don't see how this is a tempting option for anyone.
And only like 5 miles of off-road only range

meh, dont know that Id want a V8 JT. After how they did the JT dirty with the piss poor cargo and tow ratings with the diesel engine...my guess is if they stuck a v8 in the Jt it may as well just be a one seater.
What about the 700lb battery for the 4xe

Why couldn't Jeep just do a regular hybrid like the Toyota Prius? My fleet has a bunch of 2013 Ford Fusion hybrids that are up to 385,000 miles today! Same running gear as a Prius. These cars are beaten on daily by ex taxi drivers shuttling medical patients 30+ miles each trip! The cars will recharge the battery under braking and get 30mph the way they are driven! Point is the engineering is available to have a 4cylinder engine with a turbo for take off and power as well as a battery hybrid for off throttle driving that gets recharged under braking! No charging station needed. No drain on the power grid. Show me the 3.6 that will go that mileage without needing a camshaft swap costing about the same $$ as a Fusion Battery [$2000.00]

How many of those vehicle have had battery replacements in those 380k miles? Thats a factor if you're going to compare it

How do you think the Wrangler 4xe works? It has a turbo 4cyl, just like the regular Wrangler, electric motors for supplemental and primary propulsion, a battery that gets charged via the engine, regen braking, and you can plug it in.

That is all going to boil down to the climate it operates in. Many Prius' will go for so long, Toyota raised the warranty to 150k miles. My wife's prius went just over 100k... but we lived in S Fl, and she, as a realtor, put close to 200 stop/go miles per day on it.
