Curious to hear if anyone has any more details on precise delivery dates for non-LE Gladiators. I drive a Tacoma which is up in June from a lease, and was hoping to pick up a Gladiator as a replacement, but several dealers in Maine at least have reported that while the Launch Editions will arrive sometime in June, other models won’t see delivery until some unspecified time in “the fall.”

It probably won’t matter for me personally, as I can’t go without a primary ride for months, but I’m interested to hear if anyone has any more specific information as to precisely when the non-LE Gladiators might arrive, either from dealer intel or from prior experiences with the introductions of new models.

Any info appreciated.

Dealers will get initial dealer allocations starting this month/May. You might be lucky enough to snag one of those off the lot. Could be some competition for it or over price MSRPs on the first few. My dealer going to call me as soon as he gets his planned allocation on the lot so I can come check it out! Will let you know when and will post pics. Supposed to be a Red Rubicon they are getting.

Excellent, appreciate the info. Could also just be that Maine is going to be behind in its allocations as the dealer reporting fall deliveries is one of the largest in the state, but I’ll be very interested to hear when other models start hitting dealerships wherever they are.

My JK registration ends in July so I'm really hoping I can snag one before then too. Not nearly as annoying as having to renew a lease would be though. Good luck.

I'd wager the day they start hitting dealer lots, ebay will be flooded with (legitimate) ads for JT's. Good luck!

You’re probably right, but the prospect of having to deal with Craigslist is...not attractive.

My dealer tells me that LE will actually be delivered in August and regular orders will get delivered BEFORE LE orders which is counter-intuitive.
He seemed to think he will be able to place an order any day now and fingers crossed we'll have deliveries by end of June / early July. That timeline works well for me but definitely not August. June would be incredibly good timing.

What I love about some of these dealers is that they found out about the LE at the same time the general public did, yet now seem to know the delivery schedule. Obviously I'm biased toward getting the LEs sooner, but it doesn't make sense that those who place orders after the Launch Edition folks did will get their JT before the LE.

A higher number of configurations/possibilities for regular orders that haven't been placed, compared to a single baseline configuration (minus color) that already has order numbers assigned to the build? I understand there's the potential for a customer order to be matched to a pre-spec'd vehicle that's already popped out, but I think the same could be said of the Launch Edition... Further accounting for Jeep clearly planning the Launch Edition, knowing how many they would build, and having the bulk of the orders already received, I just don't understand it.

Maybe these dealers are trying to persuade potential buyers into ordering a Gladiator from them when the order banks open instead of being wait-listed for a Launch Edition? "Even if you get your name on the list for a Launch Edition, it won't be delivered until after everyone else anyways. You should just order from me when the system lets me, any day now!". Let's not forget that we've been hearing order banks would open any day now for the past 3 months, and that each dealer has allegedly had JTs on the way to the lot for weeks.

And to reiterate--the same Launch Edition that was a major muscle movement deliberately planned by Jeep for at least a few weeks, came as a complete surprise to nearly every dealer in the country, causing confusion on how the process worked to order one. We even questioned whether or not an official @JeepCares account on this site was legitimate as details about the Launch Edition had not even made it to the rest of the customer care team, highlighted by many of us being told by Jeep customer care that the email we received regarding advanced pre-order was fraudulent.

Taking a look at all of these things together instead of separately confuses me even more when I'm trying to believe the information about timelines that some dealers are putting out; at least the ones on this site are as open/honest as they can be.

At the end of the day, I know we're all going to believe whatever information gets our trucks to our driveways the fastest; I know I do. Sometimes it still just doesn't compute.

If comments like this one prove to be accurate and dealers are going to be getting $5K+ over the MSRP, I'm starting to think my best bet might be to just try and lease a Wrangler and do a pull ahead on the lease into a Gladiator after a year or two. I'd much prefer the pickup, but not to the point of paying a huge premium for having it first.

Go ahed and pass on the Gladiator over what a few dealers plan on doing or just take the time to find a dealer that will give discounts like the rest of us have done.

You have apparently had better luck in getting info from dealers than I've had. Every one here in Maine has essentially no information on pricing, availability, delivery dates, or allotments. I'm happy to wait and see what they have to say, but their lack of information combined with rumors like the above and the obvious popularity of the model isn't terribly encouraging.

Local Maryland and Delaware dealers to me are in the dark also and know less than what is posted here. I have talked to no less than 5 dealers local to me and they have no more information than has been parroted here.

I think this is why a good amount of folks are willing to travel.
You’ve got a few dealers offering 5-7% off invoice. That’s worth the flight, train, drive or boat... I too thought I would just use a local dealer as I always have. But saving 5-7% on more than $30k is going to be worth the extra effort.
