Bummed they got disqualified. They owned the issue that caused the disqualification, missing a checkpoint, limping the truck back to repair, but a solid attempt.

The check point is probably why the trail was clogged. Sucks. Super cool experience though, one day I'll make it down for a baja adventure.

It wasn't stock though right? Looked like they were running 35s and their own custom suspension system.

stock in this instance means all factory frame brackets being used + factory drivetrain. Shock mounts can be modified

I let Mel know that I bought his 4.5" EVO ENFORCER because I wheel Baja and his experiences mirror my own in the real world. Big props to Mel and company for their efforts and products.

This is the top of Mano Canyon. The Baja 1000 went downhill - our Jeeps went up this steep hillclimb. The drop is 1,000 ft. to the bottom.

Mano Canyon - past the stairsteps is this nice washout..kinda. Its a rough canyon from Sierra Juarez down to the Laguna Salada as seen on the 2019 Baja 1000.

Coming out of Mano Canyon, it looks like this - tire-splitting, rocky terrain.

Matomi narrows outside of San Felipe

Calamajue Wash - nice and muddy all year 'round

The 2019 Baja 1000 will be on TODAY at ABC Sports X Games at 12 noon (in some markets) and at 1 pm. I will be watching for the OG40 truck.
