Oil Filter Info

For those of you with EcoDiesel orders placed, here's some info on the oil filter you'll probably want to hang onto for later. Do NOT use a Gen 2 filter. Yes, those are cheap and easy to find, but don't use one.

You can buy the correct Gen 3 filter from dieselfiltersonline.com for 50% off list price.

Also, if you shop around you can find oil that meets MS-12991 spec for around $6.50 per quart. Valvoline, Motul, Redline, etc. all offer options.

Not exactly. The entire safety bypass valve has been redesigned and is now integrated.

Ok, for some reason I am having a hard time selecting the correct filter on dieselfiltersonline.com. Which one is the correct one for the Gen 3? Anybody have a part number or a link to the correct one?
