Noticed couple spots on the floor and went to look underneath and found some residue.
Over 36k.
Any ideas on the cause?

Check if it comming from the top-front of the engine, if it is then is your oil housing probably cracked. If it's not leaking from the top, either Front crank seal, or upper oil pan seal. Most probably the front crank seal. Easy to replace.

What engine is it the diesel has had a problem with the front engine cover leaking and I have read where the oil fill cap is cross threaded or the oil filter cap isnā€™t tight just throwing that out there maybe itā€™s nothing bad

Dealership replaced the oil pan gasket and now is replacing the rear main seal.

What engine is it

Rear main but leaking from the front šŸ„“
He said they replaced the pan gasket.
That was my take on where much of the oil was coming from based on the pan picture.
It looked like a typical pan leak.

They likely found another possible leak at the rear while fixing the front leak by replacing the pan gasket.

Did you ever figure out where the leak(s) we're coming from? Mine seems to have the exact same issue based on your pics.

Dealership says it was a bad cleaning job after the last visit. They didn't notice any dye when they checked it after a thousand miles. They'll check it again at my next oil change.

Starting to wonder if the dealers just Suck at the basicsā€¦.. or if there are leaksā€¦.
I just cleaned all this crap off today and figure Iā€™ll poke my head under in another thousand and see if itā€™s back. - canā€™t trust anyone anymoreā€¦. šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚
