I’ve been looking into an on board air system for a sometime now, but there still isn’t a lot of info about JT mounting locations other than existing JL mount options that are applicable (under seat and hood) and/or gear pod and improvised bed & frame rail locations. Let’s see some of yalls configurations explaining where and why you located the compressor unit, as well as any remote chuck locations, and anything you would change or not recommend. A few pictures of prefab & DIY below. Thanks!!

Who makes this? Do you have links for the other options you pictured?

Currently that is the WAYOUT concept, but I’m sure that cowl cap will become available by MOPAR or some aftermarket group.. it’s genius.. it could easily be 3D printed

That's a JK mount. No under hoods for the dual yet or I'd have ordered it. If one doesn't pop up soon it'll be going in my AluCab cubboard.

I think the wayout has the air mounted just behind the driver side fender vent - not out of the cowl.

Diesel truck mechanic here: There's a lot of things to nit-pick here. A lot of the pictured compressor setups are just generally undesirable or have some no-no's pictured. Electrical connections that aren't water-tight, poorly-routed air lines, bad air chuck placements (seriously, on the frame rail by the front tire?) and a few other things.

Yes.. I agree by the brake booster and a hose routed through the cowl to the location shown

I think this was apart of the Wrangler EV development. I want to say that will be a "Charging" port, if I remember the pictures correctly.

Glad I found this thread - I'm going down this route and here's what I'm doing and should be done by early next week:
1. Cradle behind transfer case between exhaust and driveshaft made of 6mm (1/4") aluminum using OEM holes to take the Extreme Air 4gallon air tank and the Lifeline AGM deepcycle battery
2. Cradle in the passenger rear quarter fender (above the rock rail under the end of the bed) for the Extreme Air Magnum compressor, breather will be routed back to the engine compartment and fan will be pushing back rather than against the tire (it will be protected)
3. Main air chuck will be next to the fuel filler behind the flap (not sure how to do this given that this is rubber)
4. 4 air chucks using Upanddown air system per tire

That's the plan for now...there is an Australian system that can deflate/inflate (after you connect the 4 whips) via phone/BT...might look into that...

Will keep you posted...

Photos of the finished install would be awesome, I was eyeing the rear bed area as well, looking forward to seeing how this goes...
