Just completed ARB Single in the bed with @813 Fabrication & Design Large Bed-side Compressor Enclosure he also has an under the hood mount. Worked great Friday after wheeling at Uwharrie.

Arb twin on @813 Fabrication & Design underhood bracket. Love that it doesn't take up any excess storage space and it takes just minutes to air back up 35s. If you don't mind the extra cost, on board is a luxury I love having.

So, I go to the beach every other weekend and find myself really wanting onboard air. I’m using a separate (ammo can) compressor and it works well but 8 minutes vs 20-25 minutes sounds a whole lot better. Plus when I put the hood up it makes everyone slow down and stop to check on me.

Let me know if there are any questions I could answer to maybe help you find a good location for the compressor. Even if you don't use one of our mounts I am happy to help however possible

I have the arb twin under my passenger seat with an arb bracket. Works great.

As for airing down, just got the apex rpv valves… 32-12 psi in 30 seconds per wheel…. Yeah boy!

Okay, so I run on the beach regularly(salt water and air). Probably want something bed mount. Not sure if I want or need a tank. I like the idea of running lines to each wheel well and using short jumpers to fill all simultaneously. What would you suggest or recommend?

For our mounts, we have two ARB Enclosures. If you want to do all 4 tires at once from a wheel well setup, you will want the ARB twin. For filling tires, you really don't need a tank. In fact, there is a YouTube video that I watched from Australia where some guys did a test to see if having the tank helped fill the tires faster and they said there was no difference. He said he was going to remove the tank and use the space for other stuff.

Our larger enclosure mounts with or without bed rails and also has space for electronics if needed.

Our Medium size enclosure is rail mount only (though it is possible to mount it on any flat surface using Rivnuts)

I don't currently have wheel well mounts but that doesn't mean I cant design something!

Did they happen to test initial air burst? as in if you used just a air nozzle to blow dirt off of something - if the tank helped with that or made no difference? Thats the other big use I think folks would like from a compressor. Doubt many really use air tools anymore.

I've done both on different Jeeps and even converted AC pump on XJ to use as air compressor. It would run air tools. On LJ I just used portable air compressor. Hard mount works great for many reasons best never forgotten but costly fixed location vs: portable normally lower cost to use with multiple vehicles but forgettable put back in after use with other vehicles. Why I happen to have few portable ones.... ?

I've been running the Smittybilt 2781 portable compressor in my Tacoma for the last 5 years. It has 5.65 CFM and costs under $200. I hardwired it with a fuse in line straight to my battery and mounted it in my bed with a custom-made bracket that I attach on to my bed rail. It works pretty awesome and costs a fraction of the price. Now say I was going to use it for lockers then I definitely would go with the ARB setup. But since I only use it for airing up and airing down it serves the purpose. In the last couple months I did the same thing and mounted one also in the bed of my Gladiator with the custom bracket I made. It's super easy to access and stays dry under my bed cover. My newest addition to my setup is using the Morrflate system. Basically I just pull it out of its bag and attach it to each tire valve with a snap and I can deflate all four down the 19 PSI in less than a minute. I can also combine it with my smittybilt air compressors and it takes me about 3 to 5 minutes to inflate all four tires. I'm super stoked with this combo as life is so much easier airing up and down.

I don't remember them doing so. They were mostly testing tire fills. The tank does come in handy for bursts. I bought the constant duty ViAir system for my last JKU in hopes of using small air tools. Nope, would work very well even though it was one of the higher level systems. I use my ARB Single to blow some stuff out of my bed. It's not strong but helps.

I know this is contrarian to what's popular in these forum pages, but I like the Bauer battery powered tire inflator from Harbor Freight. I take two of them along with me when I'm beach driving.

Pros: They run off 20V battery so I don't have to hook them up to power - just put each one down beside a tire, hook the short hose to the valve, set the pressure, turn it on and go sit in the AC for a few minutes until it's done and turns off. Then repeat on the next two tires. There's hardly any hose to mess with and store, and it's so easy I'll never go back to messing with all that hose and bending over to check pressure along the way.

Con - I don't get to brag about how fancy it is, because it's definitely not in any way fancy. Effective - yes. Fancy - no.

Any problems from heat with it running for a length of time?
