Opinion- Is the Mopar Lift too much for a Rubicon on 35’s ?

I think the Mopar lift and 35’s looks great on the Overland and Sport but the higher fenders of the Rubicon make me wonder if it will look too much like a roller skate.

I already have my 35’s on and don’t want 37’s

Here's mine with 35's and no lift. This is before installing a 1.5" spacer in the front.

Here is mine, 35x12.50’s on 17” wheels. I did a 1” terraflex spacer up front. I feel it is perfect. I too was trying to determine if the mopar lift would be too much for 35’s as I didn’t want to jump to 37’s off the bat. I will taking wheeling this weekend and might change my mind but love the stance with 35’s.

Somewhat related... Anyone have pictures of the 2" lift with the original 33s? I feel that might look goofy.

Would you have concerns with axle longevity on 37s if you're planning on wheeling?

NICE garage by the way! :fist bump:

I think it is great with 35s. Gives you great articulation. Mine are 315 70R17 so just a bit shorter than most 35s.

Any lift that is more than necessary to fit the tires is too much imo. If you need the clearance a lift provides, add the extra inch the tires provide at the same time. So 35's stock, 37's with the mopar. Otherwise the fender gap looks huge and you're not getting all the benefit of the lift. If you're just doing it for looks, well...

I don’t know enough yet. I just took delivery of mine on Friday, so tomorrow will be a week. I was not impressed with the loss of power in just going to the 35’s. My wheeling for the next year+ is going to be somewhat mild or will be tailored to what is capable with the current setup. My plan is to wait a year or so to see the progression of lifts, what works/what doesn’t. I am looking forward to seeing what Rock Krawler comes out with and how it performs. I do like what I have seen with evo but I want to drive mine and not trailer. Not saying you can’t with theirs I just don’t want to go too big as I’m not sure I will ever get JK/JL performance off road. Might keep JT as is and use it to trailer the beater! ;)

I want 35's with no lift. Was the spacer you added required to prevent rubbing?

35s should have been stock...raising it after that is odd looking.

I agree without you guys for sure and was thinking about this for awhile....the wheel gap with 35's and the 2 inch mopar is to much imo....the 1.5 spacer on the front front with 35's looks awesome.....I think the 2inch mopar is better for the 37's.....maybe you need the more height if you are doing some hard wheeling but for moderate use the spacer works best imo

I am going with 35" without the lift. To each his own...but I like the gap not too big. Taller....but not looking like you are trying too hard :)
