I have a 2022 non led gladiator. I have installed the orical tail lights. However the right one the tail light will not work. The turn, brake and reverse all work. Even locking and unlocking work. Some reason the tail light section when your lights turn on does not work. I have checked wiring and made sure all connectors are fully seated. No damaged wires. Is there something I may be missing before I send these back? I did see my left tail light flicker once but has been working. No dash errors.

Might have to use a Tazer to change the taillights to LED.
I had one LED fog light that wasn't working, but after changing the fog lights to LED it began to work.

I thought about that but all the searching I have done shows that the tazer was needed if you had an led equipped truck to turn the led option off then back on off issues arose. I will look into this more.

I had the same issue. One worked then the other one didnt. Turned it off and back on and neither worked. Put the OEM back in and everything worked. Put the Oracles in and it didnt. Went and called Oracle about have an RMA. Came back out and tried again and everything worked!
So install and then turn on and use blinker for 5 cycles then use other blinker for five cycles. Turn off and walk away for 10 mins then come back and try again. Some sort of learning curve.

Same issues here. It’s like they are random. Very unsafe. Last night, backing into garage, the backup lights would only illuminate when the clutch pedal was pressed. What the heck?

Update* inop today. However now there is a pattern on the right tail light. All other light functions still operate as normal. Upon start up with the lights on. The r tail will flash in pattern 3 times. On..off……..on..off……..on..off. Then will remain off. I am not sure if there is some type of internal failure and either need to switch brands or get another set. I have not found anything on the interwebs stating a non led to led needs a programmer if resistors are used.

If you didn't have Led tail lights or headlights then it has to be programmed to recognize you now have LEDs. LEDs are less of a draw than Halogen and it sounds like it's not recognizing there is a light there. Resistors doesn't make the computer recognize LEDs, it just prevents hyper flashing. Most of the time what you are stating is happening is what happens when the computer doesn't recognize the LEDs.

I'd invest $100 in the JSCAN and that will probably fix your problem

I purchased the Jscan comp and should arrive Friday. Hopefully this will fix the issue. Probably will not hurt to have it anyway since I changed tire size and will be installing the rest of the leds in the truck this weekend. Thanks man. Fingers crossed.

Any LED w/resistor installed into a non-LED Jeep does not need any programmer.... Or have I been lucky? Made the switch on both of the wifes jeeps and on my current JT. I installed Oracle Taillights on her JL just a few months ago just a week before I installed them on my JTR. The JTR had the issues previously described but they have been working normally since. BTW, the resistors put the same resistance on the circuit as the filament bulbs so the canbus doesnt know the difference! So it is possible one of your resistor packs are flawed.

My thoughts exactly. However I need to change the tire size anyway so I will bypass the resistors and see if that fixes the issue.

You have been lucky. I had to reprogram my jeep Wrangler when I installed leds. If resistors aren't built in, most of the time you need to reprogram and add resistors to keep the turn signals from hyper flashing. When I installed LED tailights on the Gladiator I had to reprogram for the LEDs because it was showing a tail light out warning on the dash.

OEM LEDs have resistors built into them and the system has been flashed already

If you purchase correctly and review applications, all LED assemblies built for non-LED vehicles come with resistors. The hyperflash seen is because the system does not recognize the lower resistance of the LED assembly/bulb. Been mucking with LED's for years between my cars and bikes. Wasnt as big an issue until everyone went to canbus.
