I actually looked at the harbor freight ones in store yesterday. They’re certainly a contender.

I have no problem I’m spending money, it’s why my gun safe became multiple gun safes:CWL: but I’m trying to be more financially responsible

Financially Responsible and Jeep do not exist. Good Luck! lmao. There are some decent brands out there with good light out put. i like Baja designs but $$$. There are Tons of shoot outs on all lights pick whats best for you and forget everyone else.

If starting with halogen headlights and fogs, one easy-to-use way to go is LED driving lights on the bumper relayed to the high beams, and LED fogs run by the fog light switch. Plenty of light for high or low beam, no extra controls needed, intuitive automatic switching via the high beam stalk, retains snow melt with the halogen headlights. Similar for reverse lights.

And bumper mount meets regulations in more places than cowl mount. Quadratec has some nice brackets for stock bumpers.

You really said “let there be light!” Haha looks good!

What did you use to wire them all into the voswitch box? Just bought a few lengths of wire?
Bought 14Ga wire in different colors (for clarity and less confusion) off of Amazon. Everything cut to custom length so no wires everywhere. The Voswitch has all the fuses, switches, etc. so I didn't need the wiring harnesses from HF. 👍 The only other cables were the Voswitch control cable when went into the A pillar easily, and the cables from their proprietary box to the battery terminals. Pretty easy if you just think thru it all.

Yeah I was looking at the HF harness thinking that I’d just end up cutting most of it off, just leaving the connector to whatever lights you chose, on the other end.

After a few years of owning the Gladiator it’s time to do something about the terrible lighting situation.

Rubicon, non-led, NO AUX SWITCHES.

I’m not wanting to add 12 different lights to the front and back, just looking at either cowl lighting, a clamp on light bar that will sit on the brush bar on the bumper or taking off the brush bar and using those holes to add a couple of lights.
The last option is my least favorite.

I have never done car wiring so coming into this as a complete newb (that doesn’t want to burn his vehicle to the ground).

I have looked at the Voswitch but since I'm looking at only adding 1 light source, not entirely sure that i need it.

Rough country have some options for $150 which mount on the cowl, but i cant fond any specs on the lights…

The first step should be to replace the headlights with LED assemblies (not LED bulbs) and then reevaluate your needs.

Update for everyone.

Grabbed the rough country mount and Spectrum light kit - I’m really impressed with it! Throws a bunch of light out to the sides of the road and a decent amount forward. Great little floods up on the cowl.

Also bought harbor freights 14” light bar. less impressed with it. I knew it wasn’t going to be earth shatteringly bright but it doesn’t punch out very far at all. It’s on par with one of the Spectrum floods honestly. For $65, it does fine. But I’m going to end up swapping it out for dual spots (probably)
