OVS Nomadic Tent *Warning*

So our OVS Nomadic 4 is pretty new, couple 2 months and this weekend is our 4th trip with it. We went to bed on a sometime decent night, after see sun all day and even a slight sun burn. At 0750hrs I woke up to a splash of water hitting the ground. Enough water and loud enough to wake me up. It was raining decently, nothing extreme by any means and not our first rain event in the tent. About a month ago it rained for almost 2 days straight. Well take a look at the photos! Front overhang bar bent right down the middle! As you see the outer part of the tent was secured via two lines as instructed when not using the annex. After a couple years with the ARB Simpson, which was used btw, this never happened. Super happy it happened close to home and that I packed Gorilla tape. I will be replacing it with steel pole this time around, not thin wall aluminum as seen.

I believe it! The 1/2” tubing and the thickness of the tubing isnt enough. Zero issues with the rest of the tent, actually quiet happy with it but the entrance pole had me worried from day one. Turns out I was right.
