I really prefer the plain jane commercial version but really couldn't live with white. Is painting a problem? Wrapping a better solution? Or does it really make sense, just pay a little extra and get the adventure?

What is the texture of the roof? I was going to do a DIY wrap of just the roof in white when mine comes in.

The goal is to reduce temps inside because my dog will be riding back there whenever weather permits.

I have the standard non painted roof and the wrap is avery denison rugged version which is textured.

to reduce temps you should get hot heads headliner -- makes a big difference

sorry misunderstood, hotheads for main roof for sure. i would DIY something like that for RSI rather than painting white

I wrapped mine with white vinyl.(no paint) and will be making a foam headliner, held in place by threading bolts into the installed nuts intended for the picnic table.
