We all know the official stats on payload capacity, but I think it would be interesting to hear from current owners of what their #s are! I know in other trucks depending on your option choices it can change your capacity. So I would assume having a steal bumper would definitely add weight and therefore lower your capacity. So owners check your tag and let us know your capacity plus your trim and transmission with or without the Max Tow. Thanks!!

I guess now that I have a gladiator of my own and I can give an answer. For my Rubicon without a steal bumper my payload is 1174lbs. 14lbs more then the official documents from earlier in the year.

My almost fully loaded Rubicon auto has 1148lbs payload. I think the only options I don't have are the front camera and tonneau cover. It has steel bumpers, active safety, leather, cold weather, proximity entry, tow package, option wheels, cargo management, etc.

My automatic Rubicon says 1234 lb. I did not get many options, not even the upgraded towing (no receiver hitch at all). I guess I traded all that stuff for more load capacity.

My 2020 Rubicon says 1245. I don't have upgraded towing either. Wonder what the 10lbs difference is between both of ours. The only thing I added for mine was the steel oem bumper but that's about it.

I just came back from weighting my jeep. 5580lbs

I have warn evo 10s winch, mopar steel bumpers, Rebel Offroad half bed rack, iKamper mini, 2 rotopax and arb max treads.

Correct me if I'm wrong but if the vehicle gvwr should not exceed 6250lbs I have around 670lbs to play around with?

Interestingly in Australia the gladiators have a higher payload. I guess each country measures it differently. Hereā€™s a video that references it:
