I have the AMP Research PowerStep XL's. 2" Mopar lift on 35's. I don't do much heavy offroading, but these would give you a little protection, and they sure help at getting in! Got me some short little legs. A little pricey, but worth every penny! QUALITY Steps, and you can't really tell they're steps until they deploy.

I went with the MORE so I could keep the rock rail. Very happy with them.

I've been looking at these and like the combination of them and the Rubi rock rails. Out of curiosity, do you have a soft or hard top? Reason for the question is that I find the stock Overland running boards super handy when putting the top up and down and would like to get the impression of how the MORE steps work in that scenario. I have a 2.5" lift and 35s so a step is certainly needed unless I either get a running start to jump into the cab or stretch prior to lifting my leg. LOL.

Thanks!

2.5" lift with 35s and a soft top. Throw in the soft top point because raising and lowering the top is much easier from the running board than inside the cab in my opinion. Just an added scenario to consider depending on your situation specs. The Overland boards also protect the sides of your JT if your tires extend outside the fenders as mine do. Good luck with your decision sir.

I have a hard top but for top removable I have a lift so no help from the step there. It really is a good step and I was torn between this and the ACE slider because I wanted to keep the Rubi rock rail and went with these when they had 20% off and was available now. For entry it helps tremendously but for exit I still jump out.

Thanks Jeremy. Appreciate the additional details.

If you wanna go cheap I got these iron cross steps for $275. Good luck getting all the hardware in the box though.

Installed @ACE Engineering rock sliders that act as steps for us. I really like the look and my wife really likes having a step to get into the JT!

The Ace Engineering Rock Sliders stick out about 4-inches and make a perfect step up into the JT!

I have some install pics under my build thread:

Another note: if you are considering mounting a 'Grille Guard" - these really look good with a grille guard. My wife hated my grille guard until I mounted the rock sliders. Really ties everything together - just an opinion.

Keep on Jeepin'

No, they work with the OEM Rock Rails installed. The Ace Engineering rock Sliders mount up to the body mount brackets. I like the extra protection of having my OEM Rubicon Rock Rails and these are the still in place at the same time (plus I like the look).
