Over in this thread: https://www.jeepgladiatorforum.com/forum/threads/leaking-axle-seal.42026/

One owner posted this " [jeep cares] also seemed unaware that this issue was happening to many people."

I simply don't believe them. So this poll is to get a percentage of affected units. Thanks.

Edit: I've tried to keep track of what was earliest\latest MDH# with leak.
Earliest in that thread with leak is 9-30-2020, latest is 9-21-2021.

Just checked, no obvious signs of leakage, but the inside of the backing plate does feel a little grimier than the driver's side. Put me in as a definite "maybe". ~10K miles, not sure of build date, bought a little under a year ago

My truck has 2300 miles on it and is waiting for a new shaft to come in to replace. The passenger rear side is leaking.

Why 2021 and not 2020 as well? I'm unaware of anything changing in the driveline between years and interested in knowing if I missed some change that occurred without a service bulletin/tech notice.

I voted no but I only have 1k mi on mine so far. Maybe the choices should be changed to YES or NOT YET.
Just a heads up, I noticed mine around 2,500 miles. In that other thread it seems that the leak starts or is noticed at very different times. Some right away, others after thousands of miles. It’s ridiculous but definitely check yours regularly. I was only aware of the issue thanks to this forum and then one day I noticed some spots on the garage floor. Here’s to hoping you have a problem free one!

Although there have been some 2020 reported axle leaks, the vast majority seemed to be 2021 RR. If you review the thread I posted you'll see the trend. No idea what changed, but my 2021 is not leaking and is an early build (9/06 I think.)

What is the agenda HERE? Litigation?

Approaching 10k on mine, but my 2021 JTR is also determined to apparently be right at the cutoff.

Actually had the dealership do a once over of the entire vehicle at the first oil change, and the tech specifically mentioned they'd check the rear axle seals, since they got a notice to check them all, as they came in.

I have the right rear leak (still not resolved) and I also think it'd be interesting to know the % of Gladiators with the issue. It's not a litigation thing to me - I would just like to see Jeep properly fix the issue. Appreciate the poster posting this survey.

Those of us with this recurring issue within the 1st 1k miles of ownership are also wondering how the Gladiator keeps getting so many accolades for initial quality (JD Power/Consumer Reports). If we’re in the super minority then it makes more sense.
