Hey fellow RTT owners. Just curious if other leave their tents on all year even when not using them. I live in the northern climate so don't do winter camping here & this is my first RTT. Im just curious if the snow & rain in the winter may have some impact on its longevity when not in use.
Please only do the poll if you own a RTT. You can select up to 2 poll questions.
Feel free to comment about your suggestions.

Follow up from my poll answer.
I have a Ikamper skycamp hardshell RTT. Its been on my JT continually for about 13 month & thru 2 winters.
I think its ok to leave on when not in use, but I dont know for sure hence the poll 😄

My experience is a bit different than yours as I live in Arizona and don’t really have to worry about the same winter months as you. In fact, the winter months are our prime time. Moisture and humidity are not really a concern here but heat and UV are.

I have a James Baroud Evasion, so not unlike yours, which is hard shell fiberglass. I had it atop my Wrangler for 3 years and on my Gladiator for about a year now. I have had no issues so far with leaving it on year round. Honestly, I think there would be more risk of damage trying to take it on and off regularly as it is awkward, heavy and hard to control.
