This thread is a little funny. I've owned lots of Jeep's. I've also hauled plywood on most of them. The CJ and LJ was on the roll bars. If the bed don't work the roll bars will.

I myself have owned quite a few Jeeps and hauled some plywood on top. I also hauled 4 - 15" x 20' plastic culverts on top my TJ to fill in my front ditch. It was not the most comfortable ride but it did haul them. I guess we figure it out when we need something done?

I would frequently haul wood sticking out my passenger window on my Jetta. Only a few miles drive home from Menards. Just do what you gotta do.

This is probably already solved but seeing it in person, no plywood issues to be worried about. Lol the area case many “strength” creases and it seems like it will take a beating

I just noticed something in a video. As everyone knows you fill up with gas on the drivers side, just forward of the rear wheel. Well that gas fill pipe runs a tad into the bed of the truck. See my attached picture. I have circled this in red. Looks like you will not be able to push the plywood sheets all the way to the back wall of the truck bed. Looks like they will stop at this point on the drivers side. Would be really bad for the weight of the plywood to break through to that gas fill pipe.

Is this whole spot for the 2x6 notch for plywood support between the wheel wells? That looks big.

When scaled with the Dring in the background it looks about the right size.

Who said that?
i thought it was on one of the videos from the reveal at the LA Auto Show. I've watched so many videos though, so I can't narrow it down.

From what i recall, there's actually two 2x6 spots, one horitzontal on the wheel wells and one vertical closer to the tailgate.

Correct me if i'm wrong......

WRONG, he talks about the 2x6 pocket BEHIND the wheel wells. Look where he's pointing to.
AT 2:49 he does say you can carry a piece of plywood on the wheel wells and this other 2x6 slot, but never says, cut another 2x6 piece of wood to go over the wheel wells.

NOW, I FOUND IT, watch the next 10 seconds of this video (at 53 second mark) as Mark Allen does mention the wheel well wood slot. Some other video at the LA show, the guy actually points out the indents in wheel wells. LMAO, I can't wait to haul some ply in this sucker.
