PRICING : JK INCREASED TO JL = JT PRICING

I was just thinking about how we had all the leaks leading up to the reveal of the Gladiator and now we seem to have hit a dry hole. So I started thinking and that is not normal for me.
If a 2018 JK 4dr Sport starts at $ 23,995 ( I bought one to get me to the JT) and a 2018 JL Sport starts at $27,945, that's a $3950 difference! That would lead us to think the JT Sport would start at $ 31895. I read that the price increase could be $2500??? so that would bring the opening cost to $34,395. The Sport S should be $41095. Assuming the Overlander is close to a Sahara, $44,745 and the Rubicon should be $ 47,895. these are assumed basic starting prices. It sounds logically close, but then I graduated 38th from the bottom in my high skool class, so take it for what it is. Thoughts?

All speculation at this point but have not heard of any indication of a premium over the JL.

Personally, I am not a fan of price speculation if for no other reason than Jeep watching to see what the audience expects or will accept. In the case of this thread, I refuse to accept a Sport S starting at $41k.

JL Sahara - $38k
JL Rubicon - $41k

Any premium or price inflation could be on top of that. I doubt to see prices less than current JL 4 door pricing.

This is more in line with my expectation... I'll aspire to a 40k MSRP build of a Sport S, and then push for a 5-7% under invoice deal when ordering.

This is more in line with my expectation... I'll aspire to a 40k MSRP build of a Sport S, and then push for a 5-7% under invoice deal when ordering.
I paid 14% less than MSRP for our JLR. Plan on getting the same deal through Peterson’s Stampede CDJR in Idaho with Kent Shurtluf. Since I’ll be waiting for the ecodiesel I’m hopeful the craziness for JT will subside some by then.

The JT is going to be a lot more than the JL. The frame is much longer, the JT comes with Dana 44s on all models, new suspension, etc.

Me too! Kent is a great guy. I went and test road the JLU and discussed JT vs JLU. In the end the JT will be a better all around vehicle for us and since we aren’t in a hurry (besides my own impatience) we will get the JT when open for ordering. Kent told me same pricing and deals for JT as he gives for JLs, so hoping that will work in my favor too

Well how long of a drive is it from Bosie to Jacksonville, Fl ….one wonders

Well how long of a drive is it from Bosie to Jacksonville, Fl ….one wonders
According to google maps 36 hours..however it may be slower if you decide to make any necessary detours to test out your new JT

14% sounds perfect. What's with these Idaho dealers and their amazing deals? Dennis Dillon is apparently also crazy good... 7% under Invoice sounds around the same. Based on my searching around, Invoice is about 6-7% off MSRP... so then getting another 6-7 off Invoice. (Though I like saying 14% off MSRP better... I can build it in the jeep.com builder and have an idea what to expect.

We flew in and took the scenic route back to Colorado Springs...but Jacksonville might be a little far!

I’ve been offered more for my JLUR than I paid, quite a bit more, if people in Oregon aren’t will to leave the state to purchase they’ll pay close to INvoice or more.?Hopefully I’ll have no trouble selling when the JT with the diesel arrives. Somebody is going to get a nicely built JL..just added the metal cloak FAD skid and stabilizer flip kit for the Fox ATS and waiting on the MC fenders.. then I will start all over with diesel JT

This JT pricing is really my only obstacle to overcome -- concerned I'll be topping out (Sport S with automatic + hardtop + audio + 3.6L V6) well over $42K for the truck

similar build as you, adding safety package and tech package. I expect my MSRP to be around 46k
