Just moved from my 2018 JLUR to a 2021 Jeep Gladiator, as you can see from the picture below the previous build was a pretty serious rock crawling rig. The aim for the Gladiator is to do something quite similar. This build is a work in progress but getting several big mods in phase 1 starting late next week.

Jeep Gladiator Project Riot 2.0 - EVO 6.5" lift on 40s Kp02tWv

Phase 1: Starting next week
EVO Enforcer 6.5" Lift with King Shocks
Candy Red with Black Ring Black Rhino Primm Beadlock 17x9 -38mm
40" Milestar Patagonia
5:13 Yukon Gears
Steersmarts Top Mount Drag Link
Motobilt Diff Covers
Quake LED Fender Chop Kit
American Adventure Labs front inner fenders
Tazer Mini and front mount camera
Custom made front and rear 1350 Driveshafts from a local shop

Phase 2: TBD
Beefing up the axles, one tons are not in the budget at this point, but I had good luck in my JLUR on 40's with reinforced axles.
Front Bumper: Leaning towards Artec Nighthawk bumper
Winch : Warn 10s
Rock Rails: either evo or motobilt

2018 JLUR:

I wish, currently living in a small rent house while we build and all my tools are in storage so just doing the small stuff. Either way I wouldn't tackle the gear swap, don't have the tools or the comfort level for that. I'll stick to bumpers, winches, and things that don't require a lift to work on easily.

Have you considered rear bumper delete for improved clearance?

Not super fond of the look. I think I may go with the Motobuilt bumper since it wraps around the corner and is reinforced. If I have good protection back there I don't mind dragging it coming off a rock. I'll probably end up removing the trailer hitch if I'm hitting hardcore trails.

I have the AAL Fender chop HighLine light kit and it's an awesome look IMO and great addition of clearance. I also used AAL's inner front fenders too and love the colour I chose. Your build sounds pretty rad! Look forward to seeing progress!

Yeah I laugh every time I see it in town. Phase 1 is mostly complete but its been issue getting driveshafts delivered. Been stuck in shipping hell with the weather.

I can't wait to see what trails you will do! I have been on my 38" Milestars since January 2020 and have 10k miles on them. I love my Gladiator and I'm sure you probably forgot that you ever owned a JLU by now.

Trails are for sure in the future. Wanted to hit Moab this year but building a house so I will miss our Jeep club run. This one will for sure be attempting Pritchett Canyon, completed it in my JLUR so have to try with the Gladiator. Plan to hit Hot Springs ORV in the next month.

Noticing some bump steer with the current setup. Blame myself for forgetting if you go with top mount drag link you need to get a track bar relocation bracket to correct the geometry. Went ahead and ordered Steer Smarts Bracket and tie rod. Also had to order the Falcon Tie Rod clamp to convert it over to an aftermarket tie rod.

Also coming soon:
Motobilt Crusher Front and Rear Bumper (at powder coat now)
American Adventure Lab Inner Fenders (shipped)
Quake Fender Chop Kit (waiting on inners to show up first)
Warn VR EVO 10S winch (shipped)
Tazer Front Camera
Steer Smarts Sector Shaft Brace
