My PRP seat covers are two years old this week and I thought I would post how they are holding up. My 2021 Gladiator Rubicon has just at 37,000 miles on it and the seat covers were put on at 6,731 miles. I have two dogs that are approximately 70-80 pounds and split their riding time inside and outside about fifty-fifty. They are hunting dogs (American English Coonhounds) and are very rough and tumble. They jump in covered with mud, dirt, dust, blood, wet, and sometimes even after being skunked. The seat covers have about 40 weekend hunting trips on them (I do the gnarly hunting areas in my XJ). I am a real estate appraiser and broker and usually drive a little every day. I have ridden in the Jeep many times while soaking wet after a rain, swim, or falling in the river.

When I was shopping for seat covers I could not find any posts on durability, so here I am. Overall, I happy with the PRP seat covers, they have protected my original seats well. I am not 100% sure if I would buy them again or not. I probably will though and just see if I can order the individual seats or not.

LOL. What does that mean? The only thing that really upsets me is the prices now...

7/20/21
Rear Bench Cover for Jeep Gladiator JT - (Custom) - $399.99
Front Seat Covers for Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT - (Custom) - $399.99
Center Console Cover for 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL and JT - (Custom) - $39.99

10/10/23
Rear Bench Cover for Jeep Gladiator JT - (Custom) - $499.99
Front Seat Covers for Jeep Wrangler JL & Gladiator JT - (Custom) - $499.99
Center Console Cover for 2018+ Jeep Wrangler JL and JT - (Custom) - $69.99

I understand inflation, but that sucks.

Seems like a significant amount of wear for 2 years. If you’re happy with it though and feel that you’ve got your moneys worth thats all that matters :)

I am also considering PRP seat covers. Instead of 100% vinyl I was planning to have tweed in it as well. I know you have been hard on the covers but this gives me pause to be honest...if you are happy with the performance that is great, but these are tore up (better than your actual seats though!).

Cheers

Yup. I specifically went with the vinyl so that I could wipe the hair off quickly. I also removed the carpet and went with Armolite floor for the same reason. Without them my family and friends would not ride with me because of the hair everywhere.

I don't like looking at the current condition and will probably at least order some type of new Center Console Cover, but I will probably leave the driver's seat for another year or two.

I wonder what condition other owner's seats are in after two years of hard use.

Is there a PRP Company Rep here?

That’s a lot of wear, is all, for that price.

I used a different brand, installed Feb. 2022 and have about 25k miles in them, similar price point as PRP.

My vinyl PRP covers are about the same age as yours but not that beaten up. Granted I don’t have two dogs and at most I have a 10 mile commute to work. On the driver side there is cracking on the left butt bolster.

I look at it this way, wear and tear on a cover is not wear and tear on the seat.

Exactly! You should post up a picture of yours though so people can see.
