It fits. I only had half an inch to spare with 35s and could not fit with 38s. But, with the storm coming and wanting to spend time with the jeep I aired down to 10 PSI and voila it fits!!! about half an inch to spare. Pretty happy with this for these type of situations and thought I share. It your JT fits with 35s it will fit with 38s and probably 40s once you air down

If you have a 7’ door, adjusting your garage door to fully open will allow you to pull it in without having to air down.
That’s done already!!! It’s unfortunately lower at only 6-4.
