Is it just me or does the JT seem prone to directing any water you go though at a speed greater the 5mph right at the windshield?

I have had multiple instances where I drive through puddles 2" deep and next thing I know there is a deluge of water and I can't see out the windshield until I am through the puddle. It's like someone has take several buckets of water and dumped them right on my windshield. Even having wipers at high speed doesn't clear the water faster then it get kicked up. My civic seems to keep the water under the fenders, but the JTR with the stock mud tires seems to dump it all on the hood and windshield.

Makes for some tense times when you can't see on coming cars.

Maybe it’s the mud tires, but I think it’s just you 😂 . I live where it rains massively 6 months / year. No issues. My JT is no different than my other vehicles in that respect.

I have not noticed this on my JTR with mud tires but I have always used rain X religiously in all of my vehicles, so any water on my windshield instantly beads up. My wipers never need to go past the second setting, even in a torrential downpour. You should give it a go!

Yeap I use it and it doesn't help, a sheet of water is a sheet of water.

go find a 3 inch deep by 10 foot long puddle and hit it at 25mph tell me how bad it is.

The tread pattern on tires makes a big difference on how the water is displaced when you hit it. I read an article years ago where they tested several off road tires. They mounted each tire on the same vehicle, and showed photos of each one hitting the same water, and what direction the water went. I wouldn't have thought it made this much difference, but it can. My Toyo M/T's on my last Jeep were horrible about throwing water in front of me. So far, the BFG KM3's on my JT aren't as bad. We'll see.
