I finally got lucky with an Amazon deal. I’ve read about others getting deals but it was my turn this time. Long story made short, I watched an Amazon listing for the Putco rack drop in price every couple of days. It looked like the last one in stock. I thought they were either trying to cram it out of their warehouse or get some out there for marketing.
I paid for the item once it dropped so low I couldn’t refuse. I was skeptical it would ever show up but it did. The problem was Putco’s website had the wrong info and directions.
You either need Trail Rails or some Putco adapter brackets to mount it. Well...Putco didn’t seem to have even made any of the adapter brackets yet so it took me close to 2 months of weekly calls to get them. They had to cut the parts and send them out for powder coating.
At the end of the day I’m real happy with it! It met all my criteria for a rack.
