Hey Guys,

I am considering a Gladiator. Prefer an EcoDiesel, but my local dealer has a 2023 Mojave 3.6 V6 automatic that is heavily discounted.

The window sticker says the V6 gets 17/22 MPG. Is this true?

What are you guys getting for MPG on a stock Mojave?

Thanks in advance.

No. Even before my mods my best was 15-16mpg.

Then again, I've never gotten advertised mileage on any vehicle I've owned. Ever.
Got it.

That's what I figured.

My 2019 Tacoma TRD Off-Road got 15/19 MPG. So roughly the same then.

My preference is to use more fuel and keep a running engine....... I would NEVER buy a modern diesel again, once was more than enough BS

Having had a 2018 TRD Off-road with a crappy Eibach junk lift and 33.5 tall tires you'll be much happier in the Mojave! Really not comparable rides anymore, Jeep has come so far while Toyota seems to have benched the players long-term

If I keep to 70 mph I can get 17-18. My absolute best tank in 5,600 miles of ownership has been 18.6 mpg. That is mixed driving that includes some stop and go and running errands all the way up to 75-80 on the interstate. My overall average is hovering at 17mpg.

The difference in driveability of the diesel vs gas is immense, not even considering mpg. Drive both on an interstate before you decide. I chose the 3.6 because I didn't want to deal with diesel emissions equipment (already have a Ram with a diesel, which I love except for the emissions system), I didn't trust the high pressure fuel pump on the EcoDiesel, and they got recalled (for the fuel pump) almost immediately after I started looking at them (they were all pulled off the lots, could not be sold).

Yeah, my Tacoma ownership wasn't a happy one. The automatic transmission, the 3.5 V6 and the seating position all sucked.

Agree with all of your feelings on the Tacoma. A cool truck until actually living with one. The seating was ok for me, but the transmission was upsetting and embarrassing... A little more throttle, nothing, a wee bit more, nothing, a tiny wee bit more then violent downshifting like a raging maniac was driving etc...

I've got a 22 Mojave. The only time I saw 22MPG Highway was at 7000' in Colorado in the flats at a steady 65 MPH with no wind. I live in Texas where the interstate is 75-80 or get run over and we get 16-18 mpg. In town its closer to 15-16. The only mod I have is replaced the stock rock rails with a step/slider style which is barely heavier than the stock rails. My driving style is a little lighter on the pedal than my wife's in town and I can get closer to 16+. She always brings the average down to 14+

But really mpg is, of course, not why you buy this thing. You'll love it.
