Does anybody have any experience with this wireless charger? Ram generally makes high-quality products. I’m thinking about using this on the end of a 67D arm and a Vector bar. I might even go with a wireless carplay adapter and “cut the cord” totally.

Other that the fact that it is so outrageously overpriced no ... But you can find other charging mount brands for 25% the cost of that thing ...

I'm sure it is very good quality though as all RAM stuff is ...

Appreciate the input! So I looked at the zee ho wireless charger and I didn’t see one with a ball on the back to mate to the 67D arm. Can you point me in the right direction?

Finally got all the parts so I can mock up ....
  • Vector Contour eDock
  • 67 Designs Track Balls
  • 67 Designs Nano Arm
  • ZeeHoo Wireless Charger
First three are obvious and easy install. To make the Zee Hoo work you need to slightly modify either the vent connector (remove the spring clip, dremel off the angle bracket) or remove the arm bracket (spiral nut) and trim off the back.

Both scenarios allow you to add to the end of the 67Design arm and clamp on the ZeeHoo charger ball. With this in place, I plan to setup a wire off the ignition and then a simple 2prong high amp charger. Let me know if you need anything else?

This doesn't even list 7.5W as an output on it. My guess is your iphone will be stuck to 5w on this which honestly might not charge your phone faster than it drains on wireless carplay.

Look at bulletproof. I just bought a wireless charger there for $42. Very nice one too.

It says up to 10W output?
Just when you create something out of nothing they offer a solid solution. The only question I have is does it work when the power is off?

Exactly the solution needed

Apple uses some strange form of the standard. The device has to declare 7.5w specifically to support it. iPhones have some kind of negotiation. The 12 can do 15W wireless but it only works with their MagSafe charger and nothing else.

If you have the factory auxiliary switches there is a fused wire in the passenger footwell you could hook it up to that I believe is directly to the battery.

Ah ok, I have an S20 Ultra, so anything 10W+is fast wireless charging.

Yep on there you will be fine. That phone even supports 15W but I haven't seen many chargers out there that go that high.

So looking at doing this setup...

wireless charging dock:
https://shop.juggernautcase.com/products/inductive-charging-vehicle-mount.html

Ram mounting plate and arm:
https://www.rammount.com/part/RAM-B-202U-23

Vent mount:
https://getoffroam.com/products/jee...froam-clamp-ball-mount?variant=32175213805649

I’m curious if I can run the power from the armrest cubby and also run a wireless CarPlay connection as well, in hopes to hide all the wires except the immediate wire for the mount.
