Working with a dealership on a new Sport S w/ max tow, popular equipment package, Alpine, Cold Weather....all told the MSRP is $46,255. I submitted a quote request through Trucar and got a quote back of $40,735 (includes $399 doc fee). The total discount with $2K customer cash is $5,525 (11.9%). The interesting thing is I had been exchanging emails with the dealer and the best they would do was apply the $2K customer cash, no additional dealer discount but they say they will "honor" the Trucar quote. I was shooting for another $2K off but given the limited number of 2020 Sport S in the area, it's likely I won't be able to do much better. I've asked a second dealer to better the deal but they don't have the same truck in stock and they would have to swap so unlikely they'll do better. There is a $1K Automobility offer listed on the site but it was not applied to this deal. Not exactly sure what it is or if it might apply?
Wanted to get others thoughts on this quote? BTW, I'm located in the NE and Sports S's appear to be in short supply and dwindling. If this one sells I'll just wait for for the 2021's which are starting to roll in. I'd really like to be under $40K for this truck.
