real tow capacity of a gladiator sport manual transmission?

I am looking at a boat that is 4350 lbs plus the trailer.. so call it 5000 lbs or just short of that. jeep says tow capacity on my sport with a manual transmission is 4000 lbs. i am thinking that since i don't have to pull the boat more than just down the road and back that it won't be a problem. but i wanted to post here to see if you have any thoughts. thanks!

Physically you could do it, but the concern would be the clutch. Some have suggested replacing with a heavier duty clutch, or doing so when the original wears out.

Also of concern would be your insurance company would likely deny any claim if you have an accident as you are exceeding the weight limit.
