I wonder if the dealer is really DUMB enough to not read the directions in the kit of 5 sensors - that you need to try them all until 1 works with your specific axle.
I don't know. I'll let them figure it out. I'm only getting the information second hand from the advisor.

Did they get yours fixed? What did they end up replacing? Mine started blinking Saturday on the highway. Saturday night I went out in the pasture behind the house and the lockers still work fine but as soon as I go back to 2wd the light flashes again. I've read through several posts both here and on the JL side and can't decide if it would be better to let my service department deal with it under warranty or go with Z Lockers. Money is tight and potting a $400 sensor kit seems like more work than is needed if a Z Locker bypass cable will fix it long term.

For the perfect solution, let the service department do it under warranty and replace the assembly (if they will). The Z Locker will fix the blinking alert and give you a functional locker, but the Z Locker cannot detect if the locker is actually locked - it will tell the computer it is locked when actuated, but it doesn't actually know the state. Which may be fine for you and your usage!

That sounds like the best plan. I called the dealer this morning and but the advisor I talk to is off on Monday so I'll either call again tomorrow or go by there. I am 99% sure they will replace it under warranty but it usually takes a week or two to get in.

In all honesty, I can't think of a situation where the Z locker solution wouldn't be fine for me but I'd rather have it fixed correctly.

Out of curiosity, is the flashing locker light something that can be an occasional issue? I ask because mine wasn't blinking, not on at all, when I left work this evening.

I dealt with someone else picking up so they said they didn't know what exactly the tech had done. The print out they gave me didn't have much information.
The light on mine at first would only stay on for a few minutes. Then for a drive and would turn off after the ignition turned off. Then stayed on pretty permanently. Then finally showed a message to service 4wd system. They didn't want to touch it until the code was logged in the jeep.

Thank you for the reply. From the other things I've read it sounded like the progression of the issue is exactly as you described. Mine flashed every time I drove it for two days, but the light went off yesterday afternoon and hasn’t been back yet. I had planned to run it by the service department this afternoon, but I’ll just give my advisor a call and let him know it is starting to act up.
