Getting a new rear bumper with spots for 3" cubes. Ideally, I would just wire these to come on with the reverse lights. (Option A). I could wire these to one of the AUX switches too (Option B). Is there a harness for the reverse lights that I could use to keep me from splicing for option A? If going down the path of option B, would I run the wires to the cab AUX connections or the connections next to the battery?

The Curt 56584 connects between the factory harness and trailer plug behind the bumper. Couple it with the Curt 58540 and it makes it really easy to wire in a set of reverse lights.

Getting into the cab to connect to the aux wires is more work. It's much easier to run a wire up the frame on the passenger side to the battery compartment and connect to the aux wires there.

Haven't looked under there yet for the routing but is it obvious on the passenger side getting to the battery compartment? I'm guessing behind the wheel well?

The fastest.

When I originally installed my Oracle reverse lights I tied them into the factory lights and found that they would be more useful on a switch.

I tapped mine into the lights in the bed.

You have the switch in the dash so no need to run wires. They work great for approach lghts.

And the tailgaters freakout.

I had to leave my Oracle backup lights tied to the reverse taillights. I know my wife and she would never think to toss on another switch to backup. Someone else had it tied into the reverse lights and one of the aux switches. With that setup I wonder if a diode would need to installed to isolate the two sources.

I rarely use the reverse lights anymore since the new Oracle flush mount taillights are bright enough. I've had it wired this way for about a 1 1/2 year now with no problems or resistors needed. All my lights were halogen and now led's

It's not too difficult. I think I ran under the battery tray and down the inside of the wheel well to the frame, it's been a while. I ran on top of the frame rail, others have run inside the frame rail.

My setup allows all backup light to come on when in reverse, or I can turn on aux 4 and run the lights in the bumper when I need light at night.

White wire below comes from aux switch up front ->

Harness that goes in the tail light wiring (it's what Oracle uses with their bumper backup lights)->

This diode below is the same as my pic above -

The diodes prevent the power from the aux switch from feeding into the factory backup light circuit. I just prefer one not feed the other.
