thanks morton. i figured a 25 footer would be the max length. just wondering if a shorter one would be better.

In my experience above it was a great length and was great when turning. I had to turn down multiple streets that day on base to get to the hobby shop.

Any closer and I would have been nervous personally as the 25’ gave my buddy plenty of reaction time if needed for breaking.

Don't get the TITLE --RECOVERY STRAP/TOW STRAP--mixed up

You TOW with a tow strap and RECOVER(JERK) WITH A RECOVERY STRAP--SO---

You really need BOTH (TWO) straps in your ON-BOARD RECOVERY KIT and probably a "tree saver" strap to boot ! !

I use a 25k lb harbor freight strap. To pull people out with. Pull out a Silverado that was stuck in sand one time. That’s the biggest truck to date to pull out. I’ll planning on getting a kinetic tiff strap next. Those are freaking amazing

Like mentioned the bubba straps are IMO some of the best. A more budget friendly solution is the ones from smittybilt. We have the 1.5” and it’s obnoxiously to big. 60k lbs but way way overkill.

This is what we use, it’s working out great so far, have used it few times. It’s a bit bulky but, the wife said but it’s poison spyder, we have to get that one...... oh well, she never asks for much so I says what the hell........:)

edit: I forgot to put in the specs....3” x 30’ rated for 24250 pounds and stretches 20%.

Still learning. So this kit is for someone else to pull you out but outside of a winch, are there other methods to pull yourself out? IE, not necessarily wheeling alone, which I wouldn’t want to do, but say you happened to get stuck somewhere along the line and wanted to be able to get out but you don’t have a winch yet? I was wondering if there’s tricks that have been learned.
