Remote proximity keyless entry available on all trims

A post asking about the remote proximity keyless entry got me curious. Previously it was only available to order on the higher trim levels. According to the build and price it is available on all trim levels now. Including the base Sport. Must have changed in the last month or two. Very interesting.

The change on the back end was revealed here via a member ordering with a dealer a day or two ago. I checked when I saw that, and it still showed up on the build and price site. The build and price site is not in any way timely, and reflects anything that might be on dealer lots at the moment. Speculation is that it's either being tied into specific packages, or (I think more likely) a chip shortage casualty. It's a pretty standard feature across the board in the industry, so it seems almost certain it will make a comeback sooner than later.

Has anyone made a video of this? Need help locating the XY600A connector. I’m super interested if it really works.
