I’ve removed my square one when removing my Jeep logo on the back. Gives you access to the camera. Top one I haven’t touched. If you own one open it up and look.Just wondering if anyone has removed these 2 tailgate covers. I know the square one will give access to the back up camera and tailgate lock and brake light. Not certain what the other cover is there for. Love to see pictures of inside the tailgate with these 2 covers removed.

Had it in fit bed liner today so got some pics for you. Lower panel is for camera, upper panel is for the locking mechanism.I don’t yet have one, is on order. So if you ever again take off the covers then please post pictures. Thanks
SO when you look inside the panel for the camera, you should be able to see the 2 holes in behind the 'Jeep' logo stuck on the tailgate, right?Had it in fit bed liner today so got some pics for you. Lower panel is for camera, upper panel is for the locking mechanism.

Are those holes just for alignment of the letters = they have a peg sticking out the back of two of the letters?
Much interest in this over in the 'Modify tailgate logo/sticker/letters' thread
TIA
It was in for work so no issues. Wouldn’t have taken it off again if it wasn’t. Look forward to seeing yours when it’s completed. Thanks @WhiteJT8541 much appreciated. Interesting to see. I already have a mat cut to the shape of the bed for my truck. And I have 2 sections cut to cover the tailgate: one larger section for a bottom of the tailgate and another smaller section to cover up the top area of the tailgate. And have drawn out where that square section in the middle is. Just need a get the truck in so I can slap it all together. Thanks again.
Now that I see this I wonder if I saw you out and about last week. Gahanna near the Y? Not too many JT's in the area let alone one badgless.Just the holes for the pegs to line up the letters. I removed mine and put JK UFO’s in it from Vector Off-road.
Nah, not me. I go as far as New Albany and over by Easton once. Other than working at the police department I don’t venture further than New Albany. Not saying you didn’t see me, just not sure it was Gahanna area.i will be in the Easton area Wednesday getting my new wheels put on however. Now that I see this I wonder if I saw you out and about last week. Great photos ! Thanks. Does the electrical unplug from behind the plate in 2 connections and are they easy to come apart/reconnect?Had it in fit bed liner today so got some pics for you. Lower panel is for camera, upper panel is for the locking mechanism.
I wish I could answer your question but I can’t. If you look in the build thread under the mojito build, I believe, there is a video that shows removing the tail gate and panels along with the camera.Great photos ! Thanks.
