The rear lower door hinges on my JT and getting hammered by rocks from gravel roads. I had hoped the noise was the rock rails, but nope. Definitely getting up to the hinges. Sure, I can "fix" them by removing and painting, but they will just get torn up again. Thoughts on something to protect them a bit? Would PlastiKote make any difference? Maybe white bedliner? Anything else come to mind?

Feel funny worrying about dings, but with less than 10K miles, I'd like to TRY and keep it nice! It'll have its share of beauty marks before long.

I seen on one of the threads some "plastic" covers for the hinges they are black though. Only other thing I can think of is maybe plastic dip them. I'm wanting to do my rims with it. I might do them too when and if I get to it.

As mentioned, they make hinge covers of all styles and prices. However, I prefer the approach of wrapping the hinge in 3M PPF (protection film). There is a great writeup on the JL forum. I have this on my hinges and door edges.
