Good Morning! As I sat here reading the forums and drinking my coffee I began to wonder if anyone has been bitten by the Jeep bug as bad as I have. I began to recall all the Jeeps my wife and I (mostly me) have owned over the last 30 years. So here is my list in order of ownership:

Sheesh, let's see. I'm going to have a little twist to mine. It looks like I've personally had nine with thirteen being a part of me in the family.

'01 XJ Sport - First attempt an an offroad machine

'93 YJ - Went nuts for offroad (coilovers, one tons, stretched, etc.)

Only 2 by myself:

1991 Cherokee XJ - sold with 225k and half a tree sticking through the radiator.
1996 Grand Cherokee - my daily driver, 267k, I choose this over the Rover most days.

The Gladiator will be my DD and I intend to have it join the others and surpass 200k. The wife is considering trading in her Rover for a Wrangler as well.


My mom bought her first new vehicle ever in 2006, a Jeep Liberty. It was totaled by a teenager on their phone passing through a red light. That little Jeep had 270k, and throughout its life had towed over 30 tons, yes 30 tons, of scrap metal off our old property when my father passed. It died with the original motor and trans, and was as reliable as any vehicle I've ever owned. She now has a newer Grand Cherokee with over 150k.

My JT is my very first Jeep, and it's also the first one in my immediate family. It's my DD and I hope it will continue to be so for many years to come. Before this I was in a Miata, quite a change. I had been considering a Wrangler on and off over the years but the JT is what sold me in the end.
