Roll N Lock Cover with Drop-in Bedliner?

Has anyone installed the Roll n Lock with the Mopar drop in? The instructions call for trimming the plastic at the bulkhead. Curious anyone do this? Skip it?

I have uninstalled my previous hardfold cover and looking for any experience with this please.

BTW: I got the XT cover with T slot rails, so will update how different that will be with adding bars/basket over bed.

I was an accessory installer way back 20+ years ago, and we always had to trim the liners. I don't think it will seal if you don't. We used to secure the front of the liner to the bed with self tapping metal screws.
