Morning all,

I just installed a new to me Xtrusion Overland rack and am now looking to fill it with some accessories, most importantly a RTT of course. I have myself, my wife, and 2 dogs so we need a decent amount of space. Although I’m really only concerned about the wife and I, the dogs can always sleep in the truck or an annex at the end of the day.

We are currently looking at the Tuffstuff Ranger 65, the problem I have is I seem to only find people with the smaller version. I did some preliminary measurements and I think it should fit, it might be the whole rear but it should fit.

If anyone has the Ranger 65 and could share some pictures that would be helpful, or any 65 inch RTT really. They’re having a pretty large sale right now for November/ Black Friday so we’d like to get something ordered before the end of the month.

Pic for reference of what height the rack is.

Any 65 inch tent is going to overhang as the bed is only 60 inches.

So it would not be recommended to push the tent up to just off the back glass?
I wouldn’t. Any flexing of the bed could push it into the cab. I would leave as much gap as the bed has.

For me personally, this is why I decided against a partial height rack. I didn’t want overhang off the back.

You best option IMHO (if you are set on that rack) is to forget the 65” and see if you can find one closer to the bed’s 60” to minimize the overhang.

That’s a good point. We do plan on getting a trailer as well so this could shift to a just me type tent anyway.
