a few beers in and I had a thought come to me, would it be sacrilege to put sport doors with the crank doors on a rubicon?

I actually really miss the 'half doors.' Sure, you had to pull out the top and throw it in the back (but it was only two pins, no screws). Was just a really nice set up IMO.

Like most as we evolve the Glad for what we want - Crank window doors as a alternative - wouldn't be bad - If you take doors off regularly it makes perfect sense.

This is my Gladiator base Sport model that I took delivery of just yesterday. Note the manual crank windows, no kidding.
So besides unplugging the wires, which only takes an extra second, it's the exact same processes of taking off the doors as with automatic windows. Are the manual window doors lighter? I don't really see a reason to go that route?

Same as it would be with the wires, you unhook the strap and unbolt the door jam arm. If you remove the door jam arm then the only step you take is unhooking the strap

Yeah, but you had to special order it that way.
