Sad day - Schrockworks winch bumper doesn’t fit

It’s a sad day.

The Schrockworks 1/4” plate winch bumper I paid $200 for and have had on 4 Jeeps doesn’t fit my 2023 Gladiator Rubicon. I’ve never owned a Rubicon and the bumper doesn’t clear the sway bar disconnect. Granted, the bumper was for non-Rubicon models.

Now to find an aftermarket winch bumper, built like a tank and compatible with my Runicon.

I had to trim the sway bar disconnect frame mount on my other Gladiators to clear the winch plate. The BFH won’t work this time.

All jokes aside, that is a bummer. It sure sounds like you got way more than you money's worth of life out of it.

Any chance you can rotate the disconnect up ?

Remove the bolt that holds it to the rubber isolated and see if you can turn it so it fits better .... then just have to find the right combo of bolt and spacers to reattach that isolated to a different place.

Finding out Shrockworks shut down is depressing. I used their bumpers/sliders on several Jeeps. Allow me time to drink and mourn.

I own both and both are very heavy built. The shipping weight on the mid width one was around 130 pounds.

I chose the Arcus because with the HF 12k winch it only added 101 lb. to the front end. Of course, most of its weight is in the winch plate and the bumper shell is only 0.1" thick (11 gauge) so it is not terribly strong.

I found out Schrockworks closed its doors a few years ago and left people with open orders.

I sent it off to pasture. The powder coat was chipping and rust was forming in mounting holes.

Update... I got a call from the GM asking why I left the bumper on the old Jeep and to come get it as the shop techs were arguing with each about who was taking it home next week. So, I went to get it and bring it home.

After a few days to regret leaving the bumper there I was excited to give it another shot.

A few hours later, we fabbed up spacers and new mounting seats and it slid right into place.

Tomorrow I will tackle the winch plate.
