New guy to the forum but not new to Jeep. So far I've had a 96 XJ, 98 ZJ, 97 TJ, 99 WJ, 2009 JK, and 2011 WK2.

I've been begging my wife to approve a Gladiator purchase since they came out. Thankfully, but kind of not, our Yukon left me stranded about an hour away. I found the color combo Gladiator I've been looking for and made it happen last week.

It's my daily driver so It won't be a crazy build but I have a running list of need tos, want tos, and probably shouldn't but maybes.

Looking forward to contributing.

Welcome!! Nice looking rig. Born and raised in Charleston. Went to Summerville High School.
Live in Georgia but come back to visit. Just remember it's your Jeep so make it yours. I do enjoy the forum for research and advice.

Thanks. I’m originally from Mount Airy, NC (Mayberry) and an Appstate grad. Been in the Lowcountry since 2008 but often go up to pisgah area for camping and mountain biking. I’ve been using my old sequoia but all I want to do is drive my gladiator.

I want a simple build, steel winch bumper from Mopar, 2.5” lift, 35” tires, swap the drop in bed liner for a spray in.

@Cabmaker08 i might need to reach out to you if you’re an actual cabinet maker. I’m building cabinets for my new house right now.

Been a cabinet maker for about 20yrs. I own a retail cabinet company now and offer design/install/build business on Hilton Head Island and build what I can't buy from my suppliers. Happy to help with any advice I can offer.

New owner here too. I am retiring in five months and, after 32 years of a company car, my wife approved a Mojave buy because of all the current discounts. Right in time for fall fishing season. I still go to Charleston for work and my daughter starts MUSC in a few weeks so I will be down there a lot.

I have taken the top and doors off but I live in Emerald Isle, NC and the beaches are closed until September 15th for driving. However, I am taking my wife and daughter for a beach drive on South Core Banks this Saturday and can’t wait. The ferry ride over ain’t cheap but well worth the price to put my truck on sand for the first time.

Also, my brother is a cab maker too but his wine is awful.

Finally did it. I ordered 5 AEV Saltas with the AEV 2" spacer lift last night from Northridge 4x4. As soon as the wheels arrive I'll be dropping them of at Gerald's Tires for some Patagonia xt 37x12.50R17s.

I went back and forth for the last few months reading on here and looking at youtube videos and finally decided on the AEV spacer lift. I needed to be realistic, I'll be mostly using my Jeep as a daily driver, with some weekly job site drives, and a forest service road every month or so. More than likely that I'll actually go off-roading on an actual trail 1-2 times per year and this will be plenty for that.

As much as I want the AEV full width bumper I just can't spend that much on it. Thinking either the Ebay rubicon steel bumper or the ARB stubby. Either way I'm excited to finally have some fun parts on the way.

got the wheels mounted on the 37s and I love it. Surprisingly quiet and way smoother than the bald at3s. I’m putting the lift on tomorrow so that should be fairly straight forward.

I bit the bullet and ordered the Fauxpar steel winch bumper with an open road 13k winch and factor 55 flatline with the trailer hitch thing too. I really wanted the aev bumper but I just can’t swing the cost. I know a couple guys that have the fauxpar bumper and other than the powder coating everything seems to be on par with the Mopar bumper. And I’ve heard of several people using the open road winch with success. Anyway. Should be looking pretty sweet soon.

Looks great! I have the same combo. I did spring for the AEV bumper and love it, but haven't been able to choose a new wheel yet. I like the Borah, but I also really like the Salta. I am only going to go up to 35's though. I don't want to have to deal with the regearing necessary with the bigger wheels.

Please update after you have a few miles on them!
