I’m a first time Jeep owner, first time truck owner. I’ve wanted a Jeep of some sort for quite some time. I initially narrowed it down to a JLU Wrangler. However, after the Gladiators released, I became more interested in them even though I've never typically being a truck guy. I’ve thought they look super sleek and unique.

So when the opportunity finally came, I had to jump on it. So far I’m loving it. Wanting to do a few things without taking too much away from stock look. No "Angry Grilles" here. I want to keep it sleek, with a mix of fun and family. Great to be a part of the Jeep family.

Looks great, @Sarge502 I also have a black Overland and can’t wait to upgrade. Been looking at 275 to 295 and either KO2 or the Coopers. I love the look.

Thanks man appreciate it. I literally considered the exact same sizes and narrowed to those two brands. I initially considered the 275s but figured I wouldn’t be happy later. Until I researched a lot and found that 295/70/18 or 285/85/18 are like perfect sizes for those Overland owners who’s considering keeping the stock wheels. I chose the 295s and I love them. The 285s are slightly narrower but like .5” taller. I chose to meet in the middle. 295/70/18 are basically 34.3 x 11.5. The 285s are 34.8 x 11.3 roughly.

As far as the Coopers I chose them because they are perfect for my lifestyle and set up. I’m primarily a city driver but plan to get a little basic off road here and there. The XLTs are probably the quietest AT tire on the market, theyre meant for road comfort however can still withstand off road as well. Yet still look aggressive. No complains here. Heard the KO2a although great tires are noisy. I even went as far as buying a spare Overland wheel and bought 5 tires in the Cooper XLTs so I have a matching spare for a 5 tire rotation.

Hey Sarge, love the look with the new shoes! My JTO should be home within the next week or so. Definitely going with 295/70/18s to beef it up a bit.

Have you added any suspension components to yours yet? I'm thinking maybe a 1.5" Teraflex leveling kit to take care of the rake, but not really wanting to get into the whole shocks/springs/lift/LCAs/etc Rubik's Cube of trying to get everything to work. A more aggressive tire without compromising ride quality too much is what I'm looking for.

Funny you mention that. Beside saving for a Diamondback Cover, I just bought a rubicon take off suspension (just shocks and springs). Haven’t installed at the moment. I will soon. I too, want to keep everything simple and I don’t off road for the most part. However adding rubicon take offs is such an easy and cheap way to get a better suspension and even a slight lift. Besides that I may also do teraflex leveling kit up front. But since I’m going to be installing the rubicon take offs, I’m holding off til I see how the take offs look first. It may give me the slight lift I’m looking for without possibly having to do the teraflex.

At this moment the suspension is still bone stock though. Regardless I personally won’t get out of hand with any full lifts etc.

Also the 295s will be great addition to the overland especially if you plan on keeping the highly favored overland wheel. I’d recommend the cooper xlts

Sorry if you’ve already discussed, no rub with the tires? Waiting on mine to be delivered and I’ve been going back and forth between the 275’s and the 295’s.

No rub at all. Not even close. And that’s even before my Rubicon take off suspension I recently added which gave me about a half inch lift in the front and 1.5 in the rear.
I was initially considering 275s myself. But after a bunch of research and knowing I wouldn’t be happy later, I opted for the 295/70/18. Love them. After deciding not to go with 275s another size I considered were 285s. Very similar to the 295s .4 inches taller but slightly narrower.
