Screen Protector

On my JK, the UConnect screen started peeling.

Out of fear/caution, for my new JT, I ordered an Amazon special tempered glass screen protector. It fits perfect and looks great. If the appearance has changed at all, it seems sharper.

For $10, seemed a no brained for me.

I tried taking a picture but glare from light makes the photo come out wonky.
You can’t tell it’s installed unless you look VERY close.

there is no wonky glare using it.

I’d buy this item again in a heartbeat. I don’t get any kickbacks, nothing.

its crystal clear and flat out works.

I have one in the JT and the GC. It did seem to make it appear sharper...not sure why.

I was asked to get one for the GC , figured I may as well get one for the JT as well.

Im happy with them.

Im curious how to remove the 7in bezel...seems to me that would make it easier to install

Remove the climate controls first (attached with clips) Then I believe there are 2 screws to remove the bezel. The kit I bought came with a suction cup to install the protector, no need to remove the bezel at all.

Same here. My JT has a 7", the GC has the 8.4" and I just used the suction cup.

Ayup, suction cup to get it all aligned. I barely touched it to my screen and it sucked it right on. No air bubbles, was like it was automatic.

Does it help prevent fingerprints as well? $10 seems like a no-brainer.

It does help prevent them. What fingerprints are on mine are hard to tell.

I ordered one for the 7 inch screen. There were big gaps all around. Returned it.

mine for the 8.4 had the tiniest gap, can barely even see where the cover ends and surround bezel begins.

when i first put it on there was a small bubble that was trapped on one side but it magically disappeared so this definitely is an amazing must have. Now i am able to wipe clean easily without damaging the screen and there is no glare and yes it does seem to make the screen sharper.
(just a note, when putting on do not push super hard or try to clean too hard like any screen so you don't damage the screen or get pressure spots etc...and of course this is just a general rule of thumb for any screen of this type)
