Has anybody ran this with a stock Rubicon? I’m reading through the fitments and it seems like for a stock Rubicon, you’ll need the bump stops installed as well…
Curious about this as well...

If you are talking about the metal cloak brace, take a piece of cardboard and line it up flat against the frame cross brace extending to the top of the pit man arm.

That is where that brace will mount, you can check to see if it looks like any of your suspension parts will make contact with the carboard at that location under compression. Driver side compression would likely be the more concerning compression clearance check.

The Metal cloak brace is pretty slim and out of the way.

I wonder about the Steer Smarts Brace, doesnt seem like their product description mentions any lift required.

After my wobble but did not wreck incident, I did Synergy on nearly everything under my JL starting from the sector shaft brance, Never worried about anything again, hands down, the best money I spent on that thing.

Steer smarts must have redesigned the bracket. No grinding and lined up perfectly. Installed about 4 months ago

I added the Clayton track bar brace today. It's advertised for the diesel but i still had to do some grinding. They redesigned for the extra factory spring perch brace (diesel and Mojave), but didn't for that brace's weld. Other than that, everything else lined up with quality weld, coating and hardwares. I also added a relief cut to the brace to ensure that it clamp the bushing properly, similar to factory relief notch.

So, the Steer smarts doesn’t state it needs 2” bump stops like the Synergy one does. Does the Rubicon need to be drilled out in order to install the 2” bump stops required for Synergy?

Yep, synergy requires it if you’re using the stock track bar. Probably cause if you bottom out, it’ll smack the brace.

However, I found my answer. Checked the bump stop mounts for the Rubicon and there are already holes drilled into it so it’s just bolt on!

Gonna go with Synergy.

That makes sense. Synergy had the spacers that bolt to the spring perch. My overland had the hole for those
