Broken arrow, soldier pass, and schnebly hill have been planned tomorrow for months now. The forecast appears to be storms through the day tomorrow in Sedona. For my AZ people, how much struggling can I expect in rainy conditions on these trails?

The Sedona red mud is pretty slick. Schnebly Hill will be messy but fine. Broken Arrow may be slippery on the slickrock, and muddy in between the rock sections. Keep a close eye on the weather as our storms are usually scattered and you might be able to avoid them.

I use the MyRadar app and it shows storms in real time.

Soldier Pass is similar to Broken Arrow but shorter and less technical.

Schnebly Is a dirt road… with some of the worst small rocks everywhere…..
I sent you a message with a grid coors. And photo to the best camp spot in Sedona 🍺

Seriously though Schnebly is kind of miserable. (My opinion) if you aren’t camping on the top, it doesn’t bring much to the table, but bouncing everything and everyone in the jeep about.

Broken arrow is going to be fun in the rain! Might not be the best time to try the small V wedge. Or a couple of the other off camber rock crawls- but the “trail portion” should be fine- just slick!

Van deren Cabin is a nice trail with cool views. Nothing crazy- just pretty.

Sweet thanks for the tips gentlemen. Looks like schnebly hill is closed due to the committee fire anyways so I'll have to check that out another time.

Schnebly is all about the views. If you’ve never seen Sedona, it’s the best way to see it. I wasn’t aware of the closure.

Yeah I figured it wasn't for the adrenaline junkies, but I usually like to throw in a scenic trail when I can. Broken arrow was a blast.
