I have the same bumper with Bull bar on my Mojave. Fit perfectly.
Do you guys know how much that bumper weighs without the bull bar, or how much more it weighs than the stock Mojave bumper? I love it but don't want to hang too much weight off the front end.

Haha agreed. I'm a car guy at heart, regardless of make or model. So when I see something out of the ordinary and functional, it definitely gets my respect. I could tell by your reply you weren't hating. it gets lost in translation via web, so I'll reiterate. I love the Mojave. I love the Rubi. I love all JTs. I get annoyed sometimes when folks buy a specific trim, and downplay the others. Same with any make or model. Like I used to have an STI. The STi folks would just absolutely disrespect the WRXs and Imprezas. Some of those Impreza builds would destroy most STIs. Some of them were just for looks, but so what? I'll be honest, I got smoked by a built Ford Edge at the dragstrip once. It had an RS swap. Do what makes you happy. I feel the same about jeeps.
These are facts son!

This thread feels like it got deep in the weeds! I ended up going Mojave. I'll be more likely to end up on a beach or off the road trails than rock crawling. And NO ONE in DFW had a Rubi they wanted to deal on. Found one online with a discount, but dealer adds put it right back at sticker. No thanks.

Managed to find a Gecko Green Mojave with a $56K sticker and a $6K discount incl a $1000 incentive. Had about $2K in dealer adds, but still put me below invoice or close. Haven't plugged in the numbers to get specific.

35s going on this week. Considering the AEV 2" spacer lift. Ride so far is night and day with the small amount of driving I've done so. But we don't exactly buy Jeeps for ride quality.

I pulled the trigger on a Mojave a month ago after going in for a Rubicon. They (Platinum CJDR) in Terrell had a Rubi advertised with the trailer tow group, but when I got there we realized that it did not. Long story short, they had a Mojave in the same color (Sting Grey) and gave me a great amount for my trade in, so I pulled the trigger. I have zero regrets. Rack has been added, 35's get here today and I'm looking at which RTT I'm going to add to it (Roofnest Sparrow XL I think). Anyway, grats on your new Jeep and maybe I'll see ya at a NTJC meet up some day!

Stock front bumper is 27 pounds
Rugged ridge Arcus is 74 pounds
Adding +47 pounds over stock

Arcus + badlands 12k =160 pounds
Difference of adding +133 pounds over stock

Before you do any mods drive the vehicle for one year then decide what it is that is missing, I recommend this to every newbie I meet , they all want to change everything but not really sure of what they want, that’s why I say drive it for one year in every type of road condition to determine what you like them make the mods
Don’t think you need a whole year to figure it out.

your reading comprehension needs a little work. The thread sure but im saying I dont care if someone gives him goofy advice.
Such is written words. My comprehension is excellent. Your lack of writing skill in conveying your message is the issue.
Really came across as slamming the OP for asking opinions, but I assumed and was wrong. My apologies.

Super helpful - thank you. That’s a bit heavier than I had hoped. But maybe it’s okay. Notice any difference?

Not a major different. Tbh it feels more grounded with less road wander. I added it at 1500 miles. I generally always add a steel and Winch so maybe I’m just used to it lol. I would say adding 100ish Pounds is noticeable or requires anything major

That’s actually a light setup. After adding the bumper and 12k winch, roughly 145lbs combined, I maybe dropped 1/2” in the front. No big deal.

Here are a few reasons why I would chose the Mojave.

  • Love the Hood
  • Love driving fast on dirt roads
  • Reinforced frame
  • High strength steering knuckles (Cast steel vs Aluminum)
  • Heaver front axle tubes – hmm these might be the same at +10mm tube, don’t remember off the top of my head
  • Can use the rear locker in high range (Can add a ARB in the front down the road)
  • Already lifted a bit
Yep my mistake "cast iron", and my first line says "Why I would Chose" not what the differences are

And with all that being said, I would probably get the Willys edition with the Diesel

So I purchased a Mojave(never a jeep or truck owner). Everyone talks about how smooth the ride is in the Mojave. I just can’t seem to agree and wonder if there is something wrong with my truck. It’s a stock Mojave and I feel every little imperfection in the road. We have some concrete highways here is New Mexico and the whole cabin will just bounce on those stretches. I test drove a second Mojave and it felt the same, could feel every little imperfection in the road transfer to the cabin. Am I expecting too much? Is it that I prefer a softer shock and the Mojave is too stiff for me?
