So I've seen getting new tires referred to as getting "new shoes" for ones Jeep, that would imply the wheels / rims are the feet of your Jeep...

So if you get new wheels, did your Jeep get "new feet"? LoL

Wheels are the insoles of your new shoes. Axles are your feet.

When you think about new wheels and tires for a Jeep Gladiator or Wrangler, keep in mind first off unsprung weight, that’s how much each tire/ wheel weighs, that’s the enemy weight! Obviously taller tires weigh more, but tires the same overall high, but mounted on any wheel bigger than 17” will weigh and cost more, with each inch raising the price higher than ever! Weighing more than ever, unless to go with forged wheels, that add a whole new increase in price.
