Sirius Guardian Issues

Anyone else having this issue? Bought JTR June 1st. My SG has never worked. Sirius xm radio is fine but my JTR does not communicate with SG. Cant do any remote commands, no location and no vehicle health updates. SG tech said they could not communicate with my JTR. Had me do test call, call went through but only info they get is its a FCA vehicle. No account, no vin no location is sent. Been to dealer service 2 times, first time it sat all day and they couldn't get to it. Second time they did a reset (which was already done prior). Gave it back to me and said "give it a try in a few hours". I did test call and SG operator said same thing. No info being sent and he could not communicate with my JTR. Both SG reps/techs have said its a bad telematics and it will have to be replaced, but its not up to them. Dealer says they have to jump through FCA hoops before they could replace the unit. 60k and seems like no one seems to want to help but the SG tech but its not his call. Dropping at dealer again in the morning. Wish I could get some help. @JeepCares

Update. Ive had an open star case for about a month. Dealer has had JTR for 5 days total. Told me to come get it, there was nothing more they could do and it was in FCA's hands. Sirius Guardian service still not working. Ive not heard anything back from Dedra my case manager. Sirius Guardian rep says the telamatic unit needs to be replace, but dealer says thats FCA's decision not theirs. But no communication from FCA as to what they will do. So if dealer says they have done all they can what happens now? @JeepCares

My gladiator has been in twice now for a total of 12 days. Says there is a software glitch I asked if they could roll back to the old software. Service advisor said they cannot. My suggestion to Fiat Chrysler is to allow the rollback so our functions can work. Pick mine up today still nothing. Great customer care.

My gladiator has been in twice now for a total of 12 days. Says there is a software glitch I asked if they could roll back to the old software. Service advisor said they cannot. Its been 6 months since I bought the jtr. Been in shop 4 different times to try and fix the Sirius Guardian. Goes back this Tuesday for another round of "we did everything fca told us to do, take it and see if it works". Ive asked for a new radio but dealer says fca has not approved that. My research has led me to the same issues in ram trucks. The problem is a bad telematics in the radio unit. The fix is to replace the unit. Not happy with fca's lack of care on the issue and not allowing my dealer to fix it. We will see if this next visit gets a new radio unit ordered.

You are absolutely right on this. I tried to reactivate my Wi-Fi with no success through AT&T. My vehicle cannot be seen by either guardian or by AT&T. None of the information is being sent or is being received by the unit. Like you mine has been in the shop a few times for a total of 12 days. Very very frustrating especially when you get a foot of snow and you want to do an auto start.

By the way, I saw another form. An individual did get his head unit replaced. And then none of his information worked as far as the telematics. I also did research and I do have the most up-to-date firmware in the radio. Even newer than the middle of November.

Its very frustrating. We have a 2017 grand cherokee Altitude edition. The uconnect has worked flawlessly, we really got use to the features. Right after we bought the jtr we took it on vacation. Thats when I noticed it wasn't communicating. Couldn't remote start, couldn't locate and send n go would not work. It will show my same location for 3 weeks then all of a sudden show it parked at the house. I had one time after the 3rd trip to dealer I was able to honk horn from app, but quit after that. They have reset, reflashed and did some all day download reboot. Nothing has worked. Ive been told by techs that the problem is the telematic is not waking up when it should, but occasionally it will wake up and update. If u google the problem but do it for dodge ram pickups you can read all the issues people have. It seems the only ones that have resolved it are those who had the radio replaced. Other than that no issues with the jtr with 4500 on it. This is my 15th jeep.

When I do a test call the operator cant see any info, ive had 2 tell me the only was to fix it is to replace the radio. I have a Sirius Guardian rep and a jeep care rep that stay in contact by email. I too have seen there are some issues after replacing the radio. SG says they will extend my 12 months free once its fixed, we r 6 months in and Im not very confident.

I wonder sometimes if its not an antenna issue. My Sirius xm works fine and i know the SG works off the satellite signal. Just havnt heard anyone inquire about a faulty antenna.

OMG i have the same issue and no one knows what to do.... dealer says its FCA, FCA says go to dealer...

sucks, love my jeep except for this!

I had to have them fully delete my account online and act like it was a new truck. Something in their database gets jammed. Mine has been fine sense.

Hasnā€™t work on my last 2 Jeeps. I had a 2018 GC and it wouldnā€™t work and on my JTR also wouldnā€™t work. I gave up.
